NEWVILLE -- Aunt Mariah Stout of near Pinhook, died last week of dropsy.  She was 75 years of age.  She was the widow of Cornelius Stout, who died several years ago and left her with a large family to care for.  By hard work and economy she succeeded in raising them.  In the years of '52 and '53, while her husband was in California, she made a full hand in the harvest field, when there were no binders or reapers.  She was a weaver by trade and worked both late and early at the old-fashioned loom.  She was buried at Perrysville.  The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Dolbeer of Perrysville.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church and respected by all who knew her.
